Divine Savior Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They breezed by the Ransom Everglades Raiders to the tune of 79-49. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Raiders are ranked 560th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Divine Savior Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sajoni Vargas, who went 6 for 8 en route to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. That's the most points Vargas has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of David Watson, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Vargas wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Divine Savior Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Divine Savior Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for Ransom Everglades, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Divine Savior Academy will take on Hialeah Educational Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hialeah Educational Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Ransom Everglades has already played their next contest, a 45-39 win against Coral Shores on the 30th.
