Flag Football Recap: Sylmar Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valor Academy last Friday, Sylmar came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 31-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panorama Pythons on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Pythons are ranked 83rd).

Sylmar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Panorama, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Coincidentally, Sylmar and Panorama will both be playing San Fernando the next time they take the field. The Pythons will host the Tigers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
