Soccer Game Preview: Chandler vs. Skyline

Chandler has gone 5-0 against Skyline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Both will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. Chandler will be strutting in after a victory while Skyline will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Chandler needed a bit of extra time to put away McClintock. They won by a goal and slipped past the Chargers 2-1. Wolves' winning goal came courtesy of Adrian Portillos.

Meanwhile, Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Toros are ranked 43rd).

Chandler picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6-3. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Chandler took their victory against Skyline when the teams last played back in January of 2020 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chandler since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
