Softball Recap: Turner Trojans vs. Evansville Blue Devils

Turner can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Evansville Blue Devils a 13-0 shutout. The victory was just what Turner needed coming off of a 9-3 defeat in their prior matchup.

Maddyn Saunders made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Saunders was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kamdyn Davis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Sammie Schleis was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Turner pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Evansville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
