Soccer Game Preview: Union City vs. Dyer County

The Union City Golden Tornadoes are taking a road trip to take on the Dyer County Choctaws at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union City is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Union City is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Obion County on Tuesday. Union City came up short against Obion County, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Dyer County sidestepped South Fulton for a 3-2 win.

Dyer County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-2. As for Union City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Union City beat Dyer County by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union City since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
