Softball Recap: Dixon Bulldogs vs. North Brunswick Scorpions
Dixon had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the North Brunswick Scorpions by a score of 10-8. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scorpions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Alivia Nokes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lilly Keeling, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Even though they lost, Dixon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Brunswick onlymanaged four hits.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixon will head out to square off against Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Brunswick, they will face off against West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
