Soccer Game Preview: Wayne County vs. Stone

Wayne County is 0-5 against Stone since December of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The War EaglesLady War Eagles will take on the Tomcats at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Wayne County's offense. They lost 7-0 to Purvis on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Stone also failed to score in their most recent game. 2026 welcomed they with a 4-0 loss courtesy of East Central on Tuesday. Stone have struggled against East Central recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Stone's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Wayne County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Wayne County might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Stone when the teams last played back in December of 2025. Can the War EaglesLady War Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
