Recap: Lithia Springs Lions vs. Chapel Hill Panthers
The Lithia Springs Lions won the last time they faced the Chapel Hill Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lithia Springs came out on top against Chapel Hill by a score of 51-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lithia Springs.
It was another big night for Aires Davis, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Richmond, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emahni Chambliss, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Chambliss has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times she's played. Za?khiyah Thompson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lithia Springs has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tri-Cities the next time they take the court. Chapel Hill will host Tri-Cities at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lithia Springs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
