Recap: Mountain View Christian Saints vs. Pahranagat Valley Panthers
The Mountain View Christian Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Pahranagat Valley 70-35. Mountain View Christian has not had much luck with Pahranagat Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View Christian saw an underclassman step up: Matthew Lindsey scored 21 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 60% of Mountain View Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ramos, who scored eight points.
Mountain View Christian dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pahranagat Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will take on Spring Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Indian Springs at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Pahranagat Valley is ranked 86th, while Indian Springs is ranked 111th).
