Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Lions vs. Shadow Ridge Stallions

The Liberty Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Shadow Ridge Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Liberty managed to slip by Millennium the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Liberty came up short against Millennium on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 27-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williams Field.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything went Liberty's way against Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in March of 2022, as Liberty made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
