Basketball Recap: North Beach Takes a Loss

North Beach lost against Ilwaco back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Beach Hyaks were dealt a 70-36 loss at the hands of the Ilwaco Fishermen. The Hyaks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, North Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore JJ Eastman dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Parker Johnson, who posted eight points.

North Beach's record is now 3-8. As for Ilwaco, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6.

North Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-26 loss against Raymond/South Bend on the 9th. Ilwaco has also already played their next game, a 64-53 victory against Chief Leschi on the 10th.
