Volleyball Game Preview: Cheshire Rams vs. Masuk Panthers + How To Watch

The Cheshire Rams will face off against the Masuk Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cheshire won the last time they faced Sheehan, and Gabby Scotti did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rams won by a set and slipped past the Titans 3-2 thanks in part to Scotti, who had 13 digs and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Cheshire was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Masuk waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Red Devils.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-14.

Cheshire better focus on containing Mary-Kate Boyle and Mia Tyler as the pair were huge in Masuk's win. Boyle had six digs and four assists, while Tyler had nine aces, four digs, and one block. That's the most assists Boyle has posted over her last five games. Kaylen Kreiner also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Masuk's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cheshire, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Cheshire has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 16.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Masuk struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
