Norwell entered their tilt with Leo on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Thursday.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (58-55) Norwell actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Macie Saalfrank paced Norwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Saalfrank got some help from Emma Vachon and her 17 assists. Saalfrank was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Leo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marlowe Weaver had 19 digs and two assists.

Norwell's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Leo, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.

Norwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fort Wayne South Side on the 22nd. As for Leo, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Adams Central on the 22nd.
