The North Polars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Tartan with a sharp 76-54 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for North as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Tartan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anya Murphy, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 20 rebounds. Murphy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Funches, who scored 21 points along with four steals.

Even though they lost, Tartan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

North's victory bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Tartan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.
