Soccer Game Preview: Carlmont vs. Aragon

The Carlmont Scots will head out to take on the Aragon Dons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlmont is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Carlmont's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Burlingame as Carlmont made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Panthers are ranked 782nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Aragon narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past South San Francisco 4-3. That's two games straight that the Dons have won by just one goal.

Carlmont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5-1 record this season. As for Aragon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3-2.

Carlmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Aragon in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlmont since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
