Softball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Find Success

Crimson Cliffs let Murray stack four runs on them in the second inning on Saturday but luckily Crimson Cliffs prevailed anyway. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Spartans.

Jordyn Cluff spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nyah Snyder, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Anastyn Snyder, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Crimson Cliffs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for Murray, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Crimson Cliffs didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Enterprise on the 14th. As for Murray, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-5 win against Snow Canyon on the 14th.
