Softball Recap: Woodrow Wilson Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Woodrow Wilson's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Warren on Tuesday. The Woodrow Wilson Bruins were the clear victor by a 20-4 margin over the Cabrillo Jaguars. With that victory, the Bruins brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

Hannah Stump was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Tallulah Watts also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Woodrow Wilson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Woodrow Wilson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cabrillo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
