Basketball Recap: Sherando's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Sherando's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the Kettle Run Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 39-21. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-22 back in December of 2024.

Sherando's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Kettle Run, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Sherando and Kettle Run could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Sherando will challenge Handley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 172 places (240 vs. 68). Similarly, Kettle Run (ranked 338th) will meet Skyline (ranked 79th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
