Volleyball Recap: Legacy Gets the Win

Legacy lost to Spring Valley back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Longhorns came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

Legacy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

Arial Fox paced Legacy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Fox got some help from Miy'Aja Diggs and her 29 assists. Diggs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Legacy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Spring Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will welcome Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Spring Valley, they will host Cimarron-Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
