Volleyball Recap: Sevier County Comes Up Short

Sevier County saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Asheville School (Independent) Blues by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sevier County sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 12-25, 15-13.

Sevier County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Asheville School (Independent), their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Sevier County will challenge Morristown-Hamblen East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Asheville School (Independent), they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Volunteer on the 13th.
