Mesa Ridge proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Pueblo South Colts 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mesa Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Laycie Gerhardt and Bailey Hummer scored both of Mesa Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Mesa Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those six games. As for Pueblo South, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesa Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Falcon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pueblo South, they will square off against Pueblo East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
