Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holy Cross). They blew past the Holmes Bulldogs 80-50 on Thursday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holy Cross pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Holy Cross will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grant County at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Holmes, they will take on Covington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
