Basketball Recap: 23 Straight Home Victories for Mahanoy Area

There's no place like home for Mahanoy Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Blue Mountain Eagles 57-41 on Tuesday. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Eagles are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mahanoy Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jace Yedsena, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Tanner Zawada was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight assists.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Blue Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
