It was a good run, but Sargent unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Ignacio Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Farmers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Sargent wouldn't go down easily and took Ignacio into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Sargent suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 18-2. As for Ignacio, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Sargent will square off against Limon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Ignacio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
