Greene Central had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. Everything went their way against the Tarboro Vikings as they made off with a 10-1 win. It was an even better day for Miguel Zavala as he scored five goals for his team.

Greene Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for Tarboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-2 record this season.
