League recap: Blue Springs tops Lee's Summit to extend winning streak

Blue Springs extended the longest winning streak in Suburban - Gold this week by beating Lee's Summit, 84-62. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wildcats.

Raymore-Peculiar took down Lee's Summit North 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Dalvin Warmack was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 423 yards on 19 carries as Blue Springs defeated the Tigers. Teammate Cobi Bissell added to the ground attack by rushing for 69 yards.

Dalton Brewer put up the best numbers through the air as Blue Springs South fell to Liberty. He finished with 14 completions for 126 yards. Brewer's favorite target this week was Brandin Dandridge, who caught four passes for 63 yards.

Terry was the best wideout in the league this week as Kelly Donohoe's team defeated Lee's Summit. Terry racked up four receptions for 67 yards. Warmack helped Blue Springs' passing attack out by catching one ball for 50 yards.

The Jaguars' Brewer and Dandridge have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Suburban - Gold in both passing and receiving yards. Brewer has thrown for 1124 yards this season, while Dandridge, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 29 catches for 514 yards. The Wildcats' Warmack leads the league in rushing yards with 1566.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Bluejays and Blue Springs South. Liberty enters the contest ranked 21st in the state, while Greg Oder's team ranks 20th.

Blue Springs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 84 points on Eric Thomas' team. Warmack in the win.
