Basketball Recap: Beavercreek's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Beavercreek won the last time they faced Springfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Beavercreek Beavers secured a 60-55 W over the Springfield Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.

Springfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dayveona Boynton, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Boynton has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Crockran, who posted ten points along with five assists and four steals.

Beavercreek's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Springfield, they now also have a losing record at 6-7.

Beavercreek and Springfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Beavercreek (ranked 190th) will meet Miamisburg (ranked 415th) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Springfield (ranked 124th) will meet Trotwood-Madison (ranked 506th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
