Potosi had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the West County Bulldogs 3-0. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won seven contests in a row dating back to last season.

Potosi was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-19.

Macyn McCarthy was nothing short of spectacular: she had 17 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

McCarthy wasn't the only good server: Potosi was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West County only served four aces.

Potosi has already played their next game (against Notre Dame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Herculaneum on the 4th.
