Football Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Green Canyon Wolves

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will take on the Green Canyon Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crimson Cliffs comes in on ten and Green Canyon on three.

Crimson Cliffs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Stansbury with a sharp 35-14 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kade Shaw had a dynamite game, rushing for 164 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Green Canyon narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Skyline 28-26.

Green Canyon's defense made their presence known, laying out Xavier Cocci three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Eli Wheatley. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 15.

Crimson Cliffs' victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Green Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Crimson Cliffs skirted past Green Canyon 28-25 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
