Butler is 7-1 against Charlotte Catholic since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Butler Bulldogs will square off against the Charlotte Catholic Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Butler is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Butler was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rocky River on Friday. Butler put the hurt on Rocky River with a sharp 21-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Parker Lamb was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Butler got a massive performance out of Cherie Carter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Carter has posted since back in April of 2024. Malea Williams was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI.

Butler hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Catholic came up short against Ardrey Kell on Monday and fell 6-1.

Charlotte Catholic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Butler's record now sits at 3-5.

Butler skirted past Charlotte Catholic 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Butler since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
