Soccer Game Preview: Belton vs. Waco

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Belton duke it out with the Waco at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Belton fell victim to Chaparral and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Bobcats. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Waco came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Broncos a 5-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Waco pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five games. As for Belton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
