Football Recap: Wesley Chapel Comes Up Short

Wesley Chapel fell victim to Wiregrass Ranch and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulls, falling 25-0.

Wiregrass Ranch found their leader in freshman Brawner Kaitlyn, who threw for 198 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of her passes. Those 198 passing yards gave Kaitlyn a new career-high.

Wesley Chapel has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Wiregrass Ranch's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesley Chapel will square off against Fivay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will face off against Sunlake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
