Volleyball Recap: Arlington Has No Trouble Against Cory-Rawson

Arlington's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Arlington was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Mea Alexander, who had eight digs and three aces.

Alexander wasn't the only good server: Arlington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Arlington now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cory-Rawson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Arlington has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Ottoville on the 25th. As for Cory-Rawson, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
