Shelby won the last time they faced Highland and things went their way on Friday too. The Shelby Whippets took down the Highland Fighting Scots 65-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Whippets.

Highland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Collins, who posted nine points, and Cooper Young, who put up ten points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Collins a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Toby Rogers, who earned seven points and five boards.

Shelby is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Highland, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Shelby has already played their next contest, a 65-48 win against Madison Comprehensive on the 25th. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-50 loss against KIPP Columbus on the 25th.
