Baseball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

Quitman suffered their closest defeat since March 28, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Grand Saline Indians by a score of 4-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Juan Rameriz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Quitman: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-15-1 otherwise.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Grand Saline, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
