Newton is  a perfect 5-0 against Warren since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Warriors  at 7:00  p.m. The timing is sure in Newton's favor as the  squad sits on four straight wins at home while Warren has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Newton's defense heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  62-0 win over Trinity. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 20  points or more this season.
Meanwhile,  after low-scoring totals in their previous four  matchup, Warren brought some dynamite into their most recent  game. They were the clear victors by  a  47-21 margin over Northside Lions Sports Association on Friday. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
Warren had a senior duo take command as  Slade Mashaw rushed for 157 yards and two  TDs on only six carries and  James Barlow rushed for 117 yards on only 12 carries. Mashaw really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 74-yard run.
 Warren was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 440  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Newton's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Warren, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-7.
 Everything came up roses for Newton against Warren when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, as the  team secured  a  64-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
