Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Union Tigers

Calvary Christian Academy will take on the Union Tigers in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Calvary Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Faith Christian Academy 62-33 on Friday. The win was nothing new for Calvary Christian Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Union hadn't done well against Harman recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Union claimed a resounding 70-34 victory over Harman. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Union's win came from a few key players Calvary Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Braylon Ward, who went 9 of 18 en route to 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. His evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Linkswiler, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards.

Calvary Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Union, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything came up roses for Calvary Christian Academy against Union in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, as the team secured a 69-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
