After losing to Monona Grove the last time they met, Milton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red Hawks walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Silver Eagles on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Hawks.

Jack Yohanek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Spielmann, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Carter Thompson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Milton's record is now 14-3. As for Monona Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Milton will challenge rival Beaver Dam at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monona Grove is set to face off against their familiar foe Watertown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
