Basketball Recap: Union County Piles Up the Points Against Westside

It's playoff time, and Union County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past the Westside Seminoles to the tune of 75-33 on Saturday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Westside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jatavion Zellner, who posted five points. Joshua Harden was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Union County's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.7 points. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.

Coming up, Union County will square off against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate on Wednesday. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Union County likes a good challenge. Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
