Baseball Recap: Morenci Takes a Loss

Morenci was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Summerfield, falling 15-5. Morenci was not able to make up for their defeat to Summerfield from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Morenci's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Summerfield, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Morenci will challenge Vandercook Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Summerfield, they have already played their next matchup, a 19-5 victory against Addison on the 19th.
