Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

If MacArthur was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Clinton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings on Thursday. The Generals were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

MacArthur saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Alder, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Benny Medaris, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

MacArthur dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri-Valley, they moved to 18-9-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, MacArthur will face off against Springfield at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tri-Valley, they will challenge Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
