Preview: Bayonne vs. Bloomfield
On Friday Bloomfield take on Bayonne at 6:30 PM. Both teams are strolling into their match after big wins in their previous games.
After having lost a blowout to North Bergen in their previous game, Bloomfield were happy to find some success last Friday. Everything went Bloomfield's way against Columbia as they made off with a 42-21 win. No one put up better numbers for Bloomfield than senior Joseph Orsita, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 206 yards and 1 touchdown.
Bayonne had a rough outing against Livingston two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Bayonne took the contest and then some with a 58-0 victory over Dickinson. The Bayonne offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-1. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
