Softball Recap: Buckley Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

While Buckley's victory against Onekama wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears skirted past the Portagers 4-2. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Portagers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Buckley's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maddi Sladek, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Buckley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Onekama, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-13.

Looking ahead, Buckley will face off against Forest Area at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Onekama does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
