Baseball Game Preview: Menahga Braves vs. Pillager Huskies

The Menahga Braves will square off against the Pillager Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Menahga is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale on Monday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-1. The Braves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Pillager suffered their closest defeat since April 13th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Parkers Prairie by a score of 4-2.

Grant Grimsley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Menahga now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Pillager, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything went Menahga's way against Pillager in their previous meeting on Friday, as Menahga made off with a 13-7 victory. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
