Basketball Recap: Berthoud Takes a Loss

If Berthoud was feeling good fresh off their 72-34 takedown of Colorado Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans took a hard 69-53 fall against the Rampart Rams on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rampart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Kirch, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Kirch is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Theodore Wilson, who posted 15 points and six assists.

Berthoud's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rampart, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Berthoud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-67 victory against Loveland on the 13th. As for Rampart, they have also already played their next matchup, a 64-48 win against Grand Junction Central on the 13th.
