Colfax entered their tilt with Pendleton on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They rang in the new year with a 75-63 win over the Pendleton Buckaroos. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in Washington, while the Buckaroos are ranked 112th in Oregon), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colfax's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Pendleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Colfax will face off against Asotin at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Pendleton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kendrick at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
