Recap: Fairfield Falcons vs. Flinthills Mustangs
Even though the Flinthills Mustangs scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Fairfield Falcons still came out on top. Fairfield secured a 59-55 W over Flinthills. That's two games straight that Fairfield has won by exactly four points.
Connor Fowler was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with 5 steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Calen Wente, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fairfield and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Flinthills, they have yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 1-3 record.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will take on Classical at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Flinthills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Altoona-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Altoona-Midway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
