Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Atlantic walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 72-58 victory over the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three contests in a row.

Atlantic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Richard led the charge by going 8 of 15 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of James Tillman, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Atlantic has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Atlantic will face off against Blanche Ely on Friday. Atlantic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Blanche Ely likes a good challenge. Dr. Joaquin Garcia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
