Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Comes Up Short

If Okeechobee was feeling good fresh off their 43-7 takedown of Sebring on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Brahmans were beaten by the Jupiter Warriors 71-7 on Wednesday. The Brahmans lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 46-35 score last time.

Jupiter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Skiles, who went 7-for-10 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kaydince Hallas, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 11 points in addition to seven steals and six assists.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jupiter, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Okeechobee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-11 loss against Treasure Coast on the 5th. As for Jupiter, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-53 win against Dwyer on the 4th.
