Baseball Recap: Derry Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indiana, Derry was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Highlands Golden Rams get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Derry's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Liam Mcmahon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Derry back to even at 4-4. As for Highlands, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
